Welcome to QUANTEC Radiation
Our mission is to provide comprehensive, evidence-based radiation dose constraints and guidelines for radiation oncology professionals worldwide.
Our Mission
Building upon the foundation laid by the original QUANTEC (Quantitative Analyses of Normal Tissue Effects in the Clinic) initiative, our goal is to provide introductory, methodology, and vision papers regarding the many issues relating to the quantification of radiation dose effects.
The heart and soul of our work is the analysis of organs and tissues that are at risk for radiation injury, providing clinicians with the tools they need to optimize treatment plans while minimizing complications.
Key Resources & Areas of Focus
Cardiac Toxicity
Comprehensive analysis of heart dose constraints and radiation-induced cardiac complications.
Pulmonary Effects
Evidence-based guidelines for lung dose limits and pneumonitis risk assessment.
CNS Tolerance

Optic Structures
Visual pathway protection and dose constraints for critical ocular structures.
Pediatric Guidelines
Specialized dose constraints and considerations for pediatric radiation therapy.
NTCP Modeling
Normal tissue complication probability models and risk prediction tools.
